Angrymancarpark are a 4 piece indie rock band from Aberdeen who have been all the rage recently with their support slot of Retro Video Club in Aberdeen, their debut Glasgow gig alongside The Monocasters and Forglow and their sold out show with vistas. these guys have been the talk of the town and definitely a band with serious potential. we thought we'd get to know the band and show you who "Angrymancarpark" really are and what they're all about!
How did you guys form?
We were all in different bands but had a college band together. We worked really well together and decide to leave our other band and start this one.
Who are you as a band?
Adam Strachan - Vocals and guitar
Euan Clark - lead guitar
Jack Davidson - bass and backing vocals
Joe Mackay- Drums
How did you all meet?
First time two of us met at a sleepover when We were 14, never seen each other after that until we ended up on the same course and started a college band. Joe was in Euan’s old band and played drums in our college band as they are no drummers in our class.
What is the process of writing new tunes?
The songs start from anything really it could be a sentence someone said, a personal experience, or could just be a random chord progression. Normally Adam writes the songs and brings it to the rest of us. Then we jam the song out and discuss what worked and what needs changed.
Who are your biggest inspirations?
The ninth wave and fatherson are our main influences but we are all into a lot of different music from punk to rap.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully, playing music we like to create for a living and to be happy in life.
What would be the best thing that could happen to you as a band?
Right now I think the best thing that could happen to the band right now is to get the chance to network with new people and play more shows outside of our city.
