Cats with glasses are a Glasgow based 3-piece band who have a fiery flare for songwriting and making tunes that will get caught in your head. So, to find who this trio of musicians are we went in and got the inside scoop from the band themselves.
• How did you guys form? In June 2018, Daniel and Jack decided they wanted to record an EP together of tunes that they had worked on for a while, through time members came and went but now the band is solid in its line-up after Thomas joined on bass.
• Who are you as a band? Jack - Guitar and Vocals, Thomas - Bass and Vocals and Daniel - Drums and Programming
• How did you all meet? Jack and Daniel met at a gig in Broadcast after not seeing each other since early childhood, things hit the ground running and they became best pals. Jack met Thomas after his other band Capsaicin was playing Stereo
• What is the process of writing new tunes? Jack will come up with an idea for a song and then we will jam it and structure it at a practice
• Who are your biggest inspirations? Remo Drive, Citizen, Two Door Cinema Club, Arctic Monkeys, Basement
• Who are your biggest inspirations? Having fun, probably all still playing music.
• What would be the best thing that could happen to you as a band? For as many people to like and enjoy our music as possible, think the coolest thing that will happen is when people start singing out lyrics back to us, would be sick to play some festivals or stuff though.
